Aviation
Our Mission, Our Passion

Operation and project management centric Consultancy ,
for commercial and business aviation operators

OUR FOCUS

ASTOG-Aviation’s intention is to add an operation focused Consultancy Service to the otherwise rich palette of Aviation services and support companies.
Aviation, and that includes scheduled airlines as well corporate or otherwise business Aviation oriented companies, face never ending waves of regulatory information and technical mandates, which are usually handled by guiding inspectors and the Company’s internal Compliance managers, but often lacks proper implementation.

ASTOG-Aviation intends to be a Partner and Connector between regulation and implementation, providing a “One-Stop-Shop”-solution to all Involved.

This is not only highlighting strategies, but also performing the crucial tactical steps until the organization can takeover.
The involvement and knowledge across FAA, EASA CASA or GCAA makes me a valuable allrounder to any organization

Fatigue management,
    EFB implementation,
        AVSEC, administration guides,
IS-BAH Stage-1 accreditation,       procurement,
contractor and subcontractor arrangements,
 to fleet evaluation
and emission monitoring schemes.

Our Approach

  • Observe and review status-quo
  • Offer solutions
  • Test and proof

Products and Services

ASTOG-Aviation’s approach is: Discuss target, observe and review status-quo,

offer solutions, test and proof, handover.

Offering anything out of the shelf hardly works, as every organization is unique, and located in its own circumstances.

My vast experience in Aviation over the past 25+ years within operation, allows me to offer tailored solutions for anything between Flight Dispatch procedures, OCC setup, Fatigue management, EFB implementation, AVSEC, administration guides, procurement, contractor and subcontractor arrangements, to fleet evaluation and emission monitoring schemes.

Solutions

ASTOG-Aviation offers that, not only now, but always, “Review, Improve, Grow”. Staying lean (Avoiding steep structures), getting better (process optimizations) and being self-aware of strengths and weaknesses of an organization, that assist in business sustainability, during “bad” and “good” times. We offer a fairly priced consultancy session, which will most probably result in a self-refinanced improvement.
Our approach: Discuss target, observe and review status-quo, offer solutions, test and proof, handover.

What does it mean:

  • Discuss target – ASTOG-Aviation and company/client will define an agreed scope / area / time of the consultancy.
  • Review status-quo – ASTOG-Aviation will review the defined areas through documentation and on-and-off-site visits.
  • Offer solutions - ASTOG-Aviation will offer necessary solutions within a report/discussion, always supported by “Business-case” studies.
  • Test and proof – ASTOG-Aviation, where possible (in case new systems are required, that might not be suitable), procedures will be adjusted and “proof-run”.
  • Handover – ASTOG-Aviation will handover guidance and responsibility to the organization, allowing for self-sustainable and further in-house evolution.

IS-BAH - Audit - accreditation

ASTOG-Aviation has been accredited to perform IS-BAH Stage-1 audits . We are delighted and very excited to be able to support your on the Journey to become a IS-BAH certified FBO. This is a great add-on to our normal Audit Portfolio, especially for EASA and GCAA Flight operation aspects. .

What benefits does IS-BAH certification

Let's speak it for itself, via a story of hands-on-experience:

While being a Nominated Post Holder Ground Operation since late 2011, and therefore much deeper involved in ground handling performance and occurrences, and from 2012  actively exercising safety standards.

I found the IS-BAH standard a great tool across the industry to address and overcome wide-spread differences in approaching safety and ground handling processes. A reason why in 2016 I actively supported the certification process of my former employer, also considering having multiple years of experience with the IS-BAO standard.

It was time that ground activities are getting better managed, similar to air-borne activities. The industry need more common and proven tools to improve safety, and after all profit. Any safety issue avoided, increases the reputation, the conference of your clients in you, and ultimately, increases profit, but doing what you do, and not being destructed by "explaining your client, why something went really wrong".

Here a bit more of my personal experience, and why I personally encourage all  FBOs to get certified,

The past 5-years showed to me once more how important standards are, even though aviation is moving towards “competencies” and “Risk based approvals”. Standards allow “speaking” the same language, comparing competing organisation (selection preferred/contracted FBO’s for a operator), and many more benefits, like less auditing requirements for operator and FBO’s alike.

COVID has also highlighted various issues, especially when organisations are not utilized/practiced a lot, like not having an operator on the ramp, with their strict and heavily tailored GOM, which imposes a huge risk of failure to the FBO… no exercise, you lose your “grip”/skills”….

I am an active advocate of safety and implementation of best practices, and the IS-BAH standard is such a tool, which will avoid occurrences, therefore minimizes financial and reputation losses to the organisations certified and operator affiliated with, while moving in a very competitive and often less-forgiving market
